Steamboat's coziest slope side lodge, the Ptarmigan Inn, is located at the base of the Steamboat Ski Area next to the gondola. With miles of hiking and biking trails out the back door the gondola can whisk you up or down the mountain for a stroll or ride down or to simply enjoy a snack with amazing views of the Yampa Valley. The base area also offers an exciting kids adventure zone with plenty of activities for all ages. The hotel itself offers an outdoor heated pool and hot tub, sauna, in-room refrigerators, coffee makers and free internet service.
